Installation

Installing the Backup/Restore plugin is easy! Follow the steps below:

1. Purchase and download the plugin from the PWS store
2. In PWS, go to Plugins -> Install Plugin
   
3. In the file browser, go to the folder where you downloaded the plugin zip file
4. Select the plugin zip file
5. Click "Open" to install the plugin
6. Once the plugin is installed you should have the following menu items
   • Help -> Backup PWS Data
   • Help -> Restore PWS Data

Backing Up Your PWS Data

In order to back up your PWS data, go to Help -> Backup PWS Data. You'll be asked to enter a name for the backup and then you should see the following window:

In the file browser window, navigate to the folder where you would like to save your backup. Once you've reached the folder where you would like your backup saved, click the "Select Folder" button. This will create a backup folder for you inside of the folder you've selected. Congratulations, you've created a backup! Simple right?

Restoring Your PWS Data

In order to restore your PWS data, go to Help -> Restore PWS Data.

A few things to note about the restore window:

• The search box will allow you to search through your list of backups.
• There are two ways to restore your PWS data:
1. Selecting the backup you'd like to restore from in the list of backups: Once you've selected a backup in the list, click the "OK" button to proceed.
2. Clicking the "Browse..." button to navigate to a backup folder in the file explorer:
   

   Choose this option if the backup you're looking for is not in the list (e.g. You have a backup on a memory stick or a cloud host that was created from another computer where you have PWS installed).

   Once you've selected the backup folder you'd like to restore (e.g. "test" in the above image), click the "Select Folder" button to proceed.

• Once you've selected a backup to restore from, you'll be presented with a window where you can choose which items you'd like to restore:

  
  

  Select the items you would like to restore and click the "OK" button. After clicking "OK", the data will be copied from the backup into your current PWS installation. That's it!
